Vicki Palmer is President of The Palmer Group LLC, a general management consulting firm she founded following her retirement from Coca-Cola Enterprises Inc. in 2009, after more than 25 years in the Coca-Cola system. At the time of her retirement, she served as Executive Vice President, Finance and Administration, overseeing the Treasury Department, Internal Audit, and Enterprise Risk Management, while also serving on the company’s Executive Leadership Team and liaising with the Board of Directors.
Ms. Palmer holds a B.A. in economics and business administration from Rhodes College and an MBA in finance from the University of Memphis. She served on the Rhodes College Board of Trustees for over 20 years, is a member of the Emeriti Council, and was named a 2015 Distinguished Alumnus. In 2006, she received an honorary Doctor of Humane Letters from Cambridge College.
Her board experience spans both corporate and nonprofit sectors. She has been on the Board of Directors of First Horizon National Corporation since 1993, where she chaired the Audit Committee for 17 years and currently chairs the Compensation Committee. She also serves on the boards of Haverty’s Furniture Company, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation, Woodward Academy, the Joseph Lowery Institute, and the Sophie’s Voice Foundation, KFF’s founding name before its 2019 rename.
A committed community leader, Ms. Palmer serves as chair of the Executive Board at Cascade United Methodist Church and sings in its New Advent Choir. She recently co-chaired the Transition Team for Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms. She is married to John Palmer, President of EDP Enterprises, and is the proud mother of Alex Roman, Director of Property Initiatives and Guest Experience with MGM Resorts International.
