BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Patrick Kodjoe

Co-Founder, World of ALFA

Patrick Kodjoe

Patrick Kodjoe is Boris Kodjoe’s younger brother, who Boris has described as “like my twin.” Born in Germany in 1978 to Ursula Kodjoe, a German psychologist, and Dr. Eric Ofuatey-Kodjoe, a Ghanaian physician, Patrick grew up near Freiburg and, like Boris, played competitive sports in the U.S. on a scholarship, basketball at Virginia Commonwealth University, where Boris also went to school on a tennis scholarship.

After an injury ended his professional basketball career in Europe, Patrick moved into business. He co-founded World of ALFA with Boris in 2010, a custom, made-to-measure clothing company built around an online 3D design platform, an idea that traces back to the brothers’ own struggle finding properly-fitting clothes as tall teenagers in Europe. He is also credited, with Boris, as a co-founder of Full Circle Festival, directly relevant to KFF’s Full Circle Africa pillar, since this is the same “Full Circle” name the foundation’s diaspora-Africa initiative builds on. He is also a personal trainer, nutritionist, and life coach, and a co-founder of the KOFIT fitness app.

He is married to Nicole Kuykendall Kodjoe, a functional breathing coach, and they have two children.
