The Mission of Operation HOPE
Founded in 1992, Operation HOPE operates with a clear, direct mission: to make free enterprise work for those who have been historically excluded. Their guiding principle is the transition from “civil rights to silver rights.” This represents the core idea that financial literacy and economic access form the natural next chapter of the civil rights movement.
The organization runs transformative programs in bank branches across the country, offering financial coaching, homeownership counseling, small business empowerment, and the 700 Credit Score Communities initiative. Partnering with the Federal Reserve and operating 180 affiliates nationally, Operation HOPE has built a robust infrastructure for change. Boris and Nicole join an influential cohort of founding Goodwill Ambassadors that includes Roger Goodell, Stephen A. Smith, Kelsey Grammer, professional athletes, musicians, and top executives.
