Tuesdays with Junior | Monthly Recap | May 2026

May is the month Junior’s two full time jobs, tennis and school, collided at the same time, and he had to figure out how to hold both.

The May 5 episode said it plainly: “Semi-Finals, School & the Art of Balance.” He made a semi-final run while exam season was closing in, and there’s no version of that week that wasn’t demanding. By May 19, he’d picked up a first round win right as the real academic pressure started. A week later, May 26, he was through to the 4th round of a draw while sitting in exam week and living out his last days at the Academy in the same breath.

“When I came here it was a huge opportunity for me to do my studies and tennis at the same time.”

Junior Hakizumwami, Love All Scholar, from a produced short

That’s the whole point of the Love All Scholarship, stated by the person living it. Not tennis instead of school. Both, at once, under real pressure, and coming out the other side still standing. May is where that promise got tested hardest.
