Junior Hakizumwami grew up in Kigali, Rwanda, dreaming of becoming the number one tennis player in his home city. The LOVE ALL Scholarship took him to the Mouratoglou Academy in France, and the ceiling he’d imagined disappeared.
“I remember when I was young I dreamt of becoming number one in Randa. But here at the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy, my dream now went bigger.”
From Mouratoglou, Junior interned with the Rwanda Children’s Foundation (TRCF) before enrolling at Keiser University in Florida, where he now studies and competes. His ongoing journey is documented weekly on Tuesdays with Junior, the most geographically complete arc of any LOVE ALL scholar, and proof the scholarship reaches further than it was ever designed to.
